Plan document review and maintenance
Tactive works with sponsors to conduct a full plan review, including a protected benefits analysis, assisting with the many benefits-related issues that arise in corporate transactions (such as mergers, acquisitions, spinoffs). We then create plan documents that meet the sponsor’s goals and regulatory requirements. Tactive can also provide cost comparisons to show sponsors how different plan features can help them maximize savings while understanding the true costs of operating the plan. If needed, Tactive can help sponsors obtain required fidelity bonding and prepare any required plan amendments.
Payroll and participant enrollment activities
Tactive provides robust, automated integration with leading payroll providers, eliminating another friction point for sponsors. Our team tracks participants’ eligibility and makes sure that participants are enrolled timely, any opt outs are processed, and all investment elections, employer contributions, and deferral elections are implemented properly. Tactive also confirms the distribution of welcome emails, required notices, fee disclosures, enrollment materials, and plan documents.
Annual compliance testing and filings
We coordinate and confirm the calculation of all annual coverage and non-discrimination testing and prepare and file the Form 5500, as well as PBGC and IRS filings. Tactive works with sponsors to confirm contributions, including corrective contributions, correcting operational errors and resolving any plan interpretation issues.
Claims, loans, and distributions
Tactive handles the entire in-service loan, hardship, and distribution process, from receiving the initial request to monitoring repayments and any defaults. We also review and render decisions regarding all participant and beneficiary claims, including a QDRO analysis and missing participant searches. Tactive handles all aspects of full or partial terminations and abandoned or frozen plans, and oversees the performance of outside service providers.
